Melissa and Ali’s Wedding flowers for Waiheke Island , East Auckland Wedding.
Melissa came to me wanting wedding flowers for a wedding ceremony on Waiheke Island in May 2016.
The wedding colour palette she was looking for included white and soft blush pink with touches of navy.
My Approach was to take her mood boards, photographs and Pinterest ideas and custom design a unique collection of beautiful wedding flowers with stunning open white and blush pink roses, spray roses and fragrant freesias.
To add the navy accents, I use the glossy dark navy blue berries of the Viburnum plant.
Both the bridal and bridesmaids’s bouquets were designed in a bridal posy holder with oasis foam.
Her bridal bouquet had a lovely mix of white and ivory flowers while her bridesmaid’s bouquets had mixed blush pink and white flowers.
The bouquet holder’s handles were wrapped in white satin ribbon and adorned with pearl pins.
The cake flowers included a single cake topper with white and blush blooms and navy blue berries.
For the groom’s and groomsmen’s buttonholes, I used single open roses, freesia buds and ivy leaves with navy berries.
Pin on corsages for the mother’s of the bride and groom, were created using wired spray roses, freesia buds and ivy leaves.
