Wedding Flowers for Maraetai Boat Club, East Auckland Wedding.
The bride came to me wanting wedding flowers for an outdoor summer wedding in March 2017.
The wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Maraetai Boat Club at Maraetai Beach.
The wedding colour palette they were looking at included ivory and peach flowers with navy blue and gold touches.
My Approach was to take her mood boards and ideas and custom design a collection of beautiful wedding flowers with stunning coral ,ivory and soft peach roses, spray roses, lisianthus, coral and navy berries with a touch of gypsophilia and green foliage to add contrast and texture.
Her bridal bouquet had a mix of ivory and peach flowers while her bridesmaid’s bouquets had shades of peach, coral flowers with navy and coral berries.
The hand tied bouquets were wrapped with ivory lace and gold satin ribbon adorned with pearl pins.
For the bride’s mother, I designed a wrist corsage of soft peach and ivory spray rose buds with gypsophilia and ivy leaves. These were wired and attached to a ivory pearl elasticated bracelet.
Keeping with the colour theme, I also designed a floral corner piece with trailing greenery for the wedding arch used for the wedding ceremony.
For the reception, she chose mason jars filled with small bunches of flowers in the same colour palette.
The cake flowers included a cake topper with trailing ivy stems.
