Georgie and Ridge’s wedding flowers for an outdoor wedding at the their lovely cliff top home in Beachlands , with the reception held at Tauranga Creek Winery in Whitford. This lovely couple were looking for relaxed style with pastel colour themed flowers for their summer wedding on 30th March 2019.
Our Approach :
We took her ideas and custom designed a collection of beautiful wedding flowers with loads of texture, foliage, and a soft mix of different in- season flowers. I was invited to forage in their stunning garden at their beautiful home for foliage to add to the arch.
They requested that I include sprigs of rosemary from their garden in memory of a special lady in their lives. Such a lovely way to remember a loved one.
Therefore her bridal bouquet included beautiful pale blush dahlias , fragrant blush garden roses , rosemary and mixed grey foliage .
Ridge wore a matching buttonhole with a beautiful white rose , a rosemary sprig and greenery.
Her three bridesmaids had pastel flower bouquets of roses, dahlias and grey foliage.
Following this relaxed theme, we created two lush corner pieces of mixed flowers and foliage on the wooden arch for the outdoor ceremony.
This arch created a beautiful frame for the bridal couple with the stunning sea view from their cliff top home.
Drinks and canapes were served after the ceremony. The cake was decorated with circlets of green foliage around each tier with a lush cluster of flowers on top.
The reception was at Tauranga Creek Winery , and the guest tables each had a central mixed foliage garland as the table decor.
The head table’s foliage garland ran along the length of the table cascading down at the ends. The bouquets were placed in vases along the head table.
“Sandra was absolutely fantastic and I can’t praise her highly enough. She listened to every idea that I had and made those into the most beautiful creations which were an absolute highlight of our wedding. The bouquets were stunning, a fantastic fresh mix of classic buds with a pop of colour and the two variants of eucalyptus was perfect. So on trend and the perfect size.
We had flowers on our archway too and I’m so pleased we didn’t have any other decorations because it was such a stand out feature, especially the way Sandra draped the greenery (which was amazingly sturdy on such a windy day). All the flowers lasted so long after the wedding too! Sandra really thought of everything including transportation, timing and storage.
With everything taken care of she made the day so easy. We especially loved that she was happy to forage in our own garden and we loved supporting a local business.”
